Refractory Sand
Natural Mineral Performance for High-Temperature Conditions
An olivine-based raw material for applications that require resistance to high temperatures and thermal conditions.
Refractory Sand is an olivine-based raw material used in industrial applications that require resistance to high temperatures and thermal conditions.
It can be used in forsterite bricks, refractory monolithics, mortars and various gunning mixes. It has a range of applications in furnaces, ladles, tundishes and industrial surfaces exposed to severe wear.
Olivine’s initial sintering temperature of 1450°C and its high melting point are among the key technical properties behind its use in refractory applications.
